building an audience

Distribution platforms
My primary distribution platform for my web series is YOUTUBE.

I will use other sites to get my video in front of an audience such as ITUNES, ITUNES is a good site for me to do this as my web series is based on music and ITUNES is a very popular music downloading website also my web series is influencing people to go on ITUNES if i do have it on there, another website i could use is vimeo because it is a highly advertised site and is linked with facebook so this could get a really good audience to watch my web series.





Social Networking

Facebook is a great site to advertise or put my web series on as it's used so much, it's a great way of getting a video to be seen all over by many people because putting one video on facebook spead's i could get people to share the video and it would become even more popular, also i could make my own page about the web series and get people to like the page so more people will get to know all about it, another good social networking site to use is twitter because twitter is used frequently also once posting the video can be retweeted again so it will become more and more popular and get recongised all over twitter and facebook.

Crowd-Funding

 

I would use kick starter to create funding combined with my web series because kick starter is a way to fund creative projects, they support everything from films, games, music and art, design and technology. Kick starter is a platform and a resource anyone can launch a project on KickStarter as long as it meets our guidelines, so i could use my web series idea and build up on making the money for it on crowd funding as any one can do it!

I would target the magazines such as SUGAR, VIBE, SMASHHITS, TOPOFTHEPOPS, because all these magazines specialise in pop music so because my web series is about pop music i could use these magazines to advertise my web series in them and then i would get more viewers on the watching it. The newspapers i would advertise in would be the daily mirror or a local newspaper because web series start off small then end up getting seen more in bigger newspapers.
